This website provides basic interment information for free, however to obtain, or request research to gather, further information requires Users to be charged in accordance with the fees set by the Department of Health, Cemeteries and Crematoria Regulation Unit.
A gazetted fee of $31 will be charged for a search of the Cemetery records. To view all fees applicable to the Cemetery, please follow the link:

All research fees are used to cover the hosting and maintenance expenses for this website. The Donald Public Cemetery Trust will also gratefully accept any donations to assist with keeping this website available for researchers.

ABOUT THIS POLICY
The Donald Public Cemetery Trust, or 'DPCT' recognises a person’s privacy is a fundamental human right and is committed to protecting Personal Information we hold and to complying with all relevant privacy laws, specifically the
Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic)
(the Act).
DPCT will only collect such personal information as is necessary for fulfilling its functions of operating a Class A Cemetery Trust (refer
Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2003, Section 12A
), and its dealings with funeral directors and consumers.
DPCT will be open and transparent about the information being collected.
DPCT will ensure that it keeps records of interments, places of interment, cremations and rights of interment and make such information available for inspection at any reasonable time for historical or research purposes, as required under the
Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2003 (Sections 59-60)
.
Whilst information about a deceased person is not Personal Information for the purposes of the
Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic)
, DPCT will ensure that the privacy of persons still living is protected where their identity can be reasonably ascertained from supplying the public information regarding a deceased person.
Specifically, DPCT must comply with the ten
Information Privacy Principles (IPP’s)
and have a clearly expressed current policy on how it manages personal information.
MANAGING PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal Information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a home, business, or other physical address, a phone number, and an email address.
We collect Personal Information from our Site users and customers only when such information is voluntarily provided to us in connection with enquiries regarding our services through the ‘Contact Us’ page, as part of signing up for our email subscriptions, or during your business transactions with us.
HOW WE MAY USE YOUR INFORMATION
If you provide us with Personal Information, we may retain and use that information for several purposes, including facilitating and otherwise addressing your enquiry, request, subscriptions, or business transactions and relationship with DPCT. COLLECTION
When you only browse DPCT’s websites, DPCT does not collect your personal information.

DPCT does not identify users or their browsing activities except, where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect server logs in the event of an investigation.
COMPLAINTS
DPCT takes its obligations pursuant to the
Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic)
seriously. You may complain about DPCT’s breach of any of the IPPs by submitting your complaint in writing to the Donald Public Cemetery Trust Secretary.
Any complaints should detail all relevant particulars, including why you believe DPCT has breached the IPP.
Upon receiving a written complaint, DPCT will acknowledge receipt in writing within 7 days. DPCT will investigate and provide a written response within 28 days from the date the complaint was originally received.
